Seifert is currently the Director of College Scouting for Prep Baseball Report. He pitched collegiately at the University of Illinois where he was Academic All-Big 10 in Business Administration both his junior and senior seasons. Upon graduation, Seifert worked in the front office of the Oakland A’s for six years, before beginning his coaching career in 2000. As Head Coach, he led Parkland College to the 2002 NJCAA-II National Championship, as well as a 4th place finish in 2003. In August 2005 he became the Pitching Coach for the University of Evansville and managed a staff that recorded the 8th best ERA in the country for the 2006 season. The Aces also won the 2006 Missouri Valley championship and advanced to the Charlottesville, VA Regional where they eliminated #1 seed Virginia before falling to #2 South Carolina in the championship game. In July 2006 Seifert became the Head Coach at Evansville and guided the Aces to a 35 win season in 2007. In the fall of 2008, Seifert became a professional scout for the Philadelphia Phillies where he remained for nine years. The final two years he served as the Central Regional cross-checker.
