Jordan Coons is in his fifth season coaching at the collegiate level, and his first year of coaching at Heartland Community College after spending last year in Asheville, NC with Asheville D-Bat Baseball Facility. Coach Coons brings ten years of private instruction experience to K’s Academy. As a two-way college player, Coach Coons provides lessons in hitting, pitching, as well as infield/outfield instruction.

Coons played college baseball at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, MO as a two-way third baseman and pitcher for two seasons before transferring to Coastal Carolina. Coons was selected as a unanimous All-Region 16 third basemen and finished 10th in the nation in batting average with a .472 mark in his sophomore campaign at Jefferson College. At Coastal Carolina in his junior season as a pitcher, Coons finished the season with a 5-3 record and a 1.38 ERA. His 1.38 ERA ranks 3rd at Coastal Carolina in the Division I era.

Coons finished his playing career at the University of Central Missouri as an All-Conference third basemen. He has been a part of five 40 plus winning teams in his eight years of college playing and coaching experience.

Coons graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2013 with a General Studies degree and earned his master’s in Kinesiology from the University of Central Missouri in 2016. He now resides in Normal, IL.
